Scooby's Bio
Scooby's path began in the
hip hop industry in 1994, begining to write songs and
freestyle at house parties and open mics in the the St.
Louis area. In 1997 as he became more involved, he
started Explysic Productions.
Going
from performances and
DJ jobs for house parties, to DJ jobs at major venues,
Scooby and Explysic Productions began to gain
accreditation and momentum. Soon after, Scooby put
together his first demo released promotionally entitled
"Who Else." While still undergoing growth as an artist
"Who Else" became a preview of what was to come from the
album release of "Briefcase Full Of Boxcutters". Using
the demo as a vehicle, Scooby began performing, and
entering in various freestyle competitions inside and
outside of the St. Louis area.
In
2003 Scooby released his first album entitled "Briefcase
Full Of Boxcutters." The album was received with a warm
response from everyone. It allowed him to gain
a networking relationship with radio and others in
the hip hop community. He had production from some of
the cities greatest producers, a powerful concept, and
displaye a vast versatility and range. This was the
platform for the beginning of his press for a record
deal.
Scooby is now working on
projects for future release. He features numerous mix
tapes in the streets to keep the buzz generated in
support of his CD. Although Scooby has remained
independent and unsigned his ultimate goal is to gain
the representation and distribution of a major recording
label.
